Here at AlluraDerm MD Med Spa, we always take every possible precaution to make sure you are safe and comfortable during your time with us. We want to alert you to a few important policies and procedures we will be following during this time to protect the well-being of our guests and staff.
Scheduling Your Next Appointment
We will be operating with reduced staff for the foreseeable future to allow for appropriate social distancing protocols. The good news is that all your favorite providers, including Lori, Kristy, Dori, and Kimberly will be working full time, although their schedules will be staggered throughout the week. Dr. Lam is available Monday – Friday and Dr. Mancha will be in the office on Thursday and Friday mornings and all day Saturday. In order to follow social distancing guidelines while maximizing our availability we will be extending our hours to the following:
Monday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Thursday: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
We are not currently able to cater to walk-in appointments; all appointments must be made by calling us at 505-821-9630 between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. We are also able to schedule curbside pick-up for products, or you can purchase SkinMedica products online with free express shipping at https://alluraderm.brilliantconnections.com/.
Before Your Appointment
For your safety, the AlluraDerm team will follow the same screening procedures required for patients upon entering the office every day. When you make your appointment, you will be asked screening questions including whether you are currently experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, and whether you have had contact with known or suspected cases of COVID-19 and/or recent travel or contact with COVID-19 epicenters. We will also confirm that you have a mask or other appropriate face covering for your appointment before you enter the office. Your face covering may be removed by our physicians and providers to allow access to treatment areas when you are in your treatment room. We ask that you inform us of any changes in your screening status between when you are scheduled and your appointment. Please call us if you have any doubts about your health status, as we do not want to have to turn any of our guests away at the door.
The New Mexico governor’s office has mandated that we screen all staff and clients for the symptoms of COVID-19 listed below:
- Shortness of breath
- Sore throat
- Muscle pain
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Loss of taste or smell
We must ask you to refrain from bringing any friends, family, children, or pets with you to your appointment, as current social distancing requirements mandate our building occupancy limitations. If you have a driver, please make sure he or she has a fully charged cell phone for us to call when you are ready to leave. It would be advisable to take your own temperature before your appointment, and if it is greater than 100.4, or if you have any of the symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, chills with or without shaking, or loss of taste or smell please call us to reschedule your appointment. Please eat and drink before your appointment as we will not allow food or drinks in the office. Please arrive on time as the occupancy limitation will not allow any cushion for appointment time changes. If possible, please use the bathroom before arriving at our office as occupancy limitations will reduce your treatment time if you use the bathroom during your appointment. Please do not wear make up for any appointments that will require its removal, including lasers, fillers, facial treatments, and consults.
Please stay in your car and call our office coordinator at 505-318-8597, not our main office number. Do not attempt to enter the office without calling as the office will be locked. Our office coordinator will repeat the screening questions and let you know when you can enter the office. Coordinating your entry will allow us to fast-track you directly into a treatment room without having to wait in reception or meet other patients who are exiting. Please put on your mask before entering the office. Upon entry, our staff will take your temperature using a non-contact forehead thermometer before taking you directly to your treatment room. As mandated, anyone with a temperature above 100.4F will not be allowed further entry into the office. Click here to watch a video on our social distancing protocols:
During Your Treatment or Consult
We will keep your face mask on except for treatment or assessment. All our staff is screened with the same questions and temperature checks daily and will be wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, face masks, and face shields before and during treatment.
All clinical and non-clinical contact points a patient touches are immediately and meticulously disinfected after each treatment using CDC approved disinfectants. In addition, AlluraDerm MD Med Spa has installed High-Intensity Germicidal Ultra-violet C (UVC) lights similar to the technology used in Duke Hospital to continue the disinfection process in every treatment room. After your treatment is completed, you will be escorted to an isolated check out room or checked out in the treatment room. This will ensure minimal chance of contact with other clients in our office.
